MANCHESTER, KY. ---(September 1, 2006)— The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s pavement rehabilitation project on I-75 in Laurel County continues for the week of September 5 thru September 8,  between Mileposts 29 and 34.

 NO work is scheduled Labor Day Weekend (Sunday 9-3 & Monday 9-4). 
 The North and Southbound lanes will have lane closures beginning Tuesday, September 5.  Lane closures will be in effect as follows:

 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, September 5 & Wednesday, September 6
ALL LANES WILL BE OPENED TO TRAFFIC EACH NIGHT.   NO NIGHT TIME OPERATIONS SCHEDULED FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMEBER 5-8.
 No work is scheduled for Thursday, 9-7 or Friday, 9-8.

 This area is a Double Fine Zone with a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH within the work zone. 

A signed detour is in place from Exit 41(London) to Corbin and from Exit 29(Corbin) to London.   This project is expected to remain active through 2006. 

The actual starting date and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
