Transportation Cabinet authorizes repair funds for KY 1114 in Breathitt County
JACKSON, KY - (March 13, 2006) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is taking action to repair a break in pavement on a state-maintained Breathitt County roadway. An emergency appropriation of $20,066 has been authorized for slip repair work on KY 1114, Houston-Turkey Creek Road.
"When emergency situations require repairs, it is our goal to make those repairs as quickly as possible," said Bill Nighbert, Transportation Cabinet secretary. "This project should make travel safer for those who use this road each day to get to work or school."
Repairs will be made to KY 1114 at a slip located at milepoint 1.6.
The project will be completed by Transportation Cabinet workers and the cost will be paid from the Rural Secondary Emergency Fund.
