KY 28 railroad crossing closure rescheduled

JACKSON, KY. – (Oct. 26, 2006) -- Due to forecast inclement weather conditions, the closure of the railroad crossing on KY 28 at Chavies previously scheduled for tomorrow has been rescheduled.

CSX Transportation now plans to close this crossing to vehicular traffic on Monday, Oct. 30. This crossing is located at milepoint 12.251. Traffic between Buckhorn and Hazard will be impacted. The estimated closure time is between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Motorists will need to seek an alternate route on this date. No marked detour will be posted.
