| JACKSON, KY – (Jan. 11, 2005) – As part of Governor Ernie Fletcher and Secretary Maxwell Clay Bailey’s vision of providing a safe and reliable transportation system to all Kentuckians, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has awarded a bid for a Morgan County highway improvement project.
Asphalt resurfacing will be done on 0.40 miles of KY 7, West Liberty-Sandy Hook Road, between KY 1161 and Hot Mix Road.
Hinkle Contracting Corp. will perform the work at a total cost of $36,910.95. The work is expected to be complete by Nov. 30, 2005.
"This project is part of the ongoing commitment by the Fletcher administration to provide a safe network of roads for Kentucky motorists," said Linda Wagner-Justice, acting chief district engineer for the Department of Highways, District 10. "We are pleased to make this improvement for the benefit of drivers in Morgan County."
