JACKSON, KY – (Aug. 5, 2005) -- In order to repair a culvert and drive steel to reinforce failed shoulders near the culvert, the Kentucky Department of Highways will close KY 451 between mile markers 3 and 4 in Perry County on Tuesday, Aug. 9. The closure is located in the city of Hazard, between the North Fork bridge (known locally as the Home Lumber Bridge) and the KY 15 connector.

The road will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. and will remain closed until repairs are completed. The project is expected to take less than one day.

No marked detour will be assigned, but motorists can use KY 15 and Business KY 15 as a detour route.
