JACKSON, KY – Weight and width restrictions have been put in place on a bridge on KY 30 in Owsley County.

A weight limit of 22 tons and a width restriction of 10 feet are in place for the bridge crossing Little Sturgeon Creek at milepoint 4.8 near Travellers Rest. The restrictions were put in place after Transportation Cabinet technicians discovered damage to the bridge yesterday. In addition to the weight and width restrictions, traffic is reduced to one lane on the bridge until repairs can be made.

No marked detour has yet been posted. A suggested alternative for vehicles exceeding the weight and width limits is KY 11 and US 421 through Clay County.
