KY 451 in Perry County to be closed beginning Tuesday, June 9

JACKSON, KY – Beginning Tuesday, June 9, the bridge carrying KY 451 across the North Fork of the Kentucky River at Hazard will be closed. This bridge, known locally as the Home Lumber Bridge, will remain closed for approximately two weeks.

In addition, the East Main Street connector to KY 451, between the triangular-shaped parking lot and McDonald’s, will be closed. Traffic using Main Street will be forced to make a left turn onto Bridge Street.

These closures are for work related to the construction of the new Home Lumber Bridge.

No marked detour will be posted for KY 451, but motorists can use KY 15 (the Hazard bypass) and Business KY 15 as an alternate route to downtown Hazard.
