KY 3347 in Owsley County closed indefinitely due to flood-damaged bridge

JACKSON, KY – After flooding struck Owsley County on Monday, May 4, officials from the Kentucky Department of Highways District 10 closed the bridge carrying KY 3347 (Shepherd Lane) over Meadow Creek in Owsley County, pending an inspection of damage caused by the flooding.

The inspection revealed more damage than was initially visible. Due to this and the widespread flood damage across the area from subsequent storms, the bridge will be closed indefinitely until repairs can be scheduled and completed. No timetable for repairs has currently been established.

No marked detour will be posted, but motorists can continue to use KY 30 and KY 28 through Booneville as alternate routes.
