Temporary detour in place for KY 7 in construction zone

JACKSON, KY – For approximately the next three months, traffic along KY 7 in Perry County through the construction zone between Jeff and Viper will be using a temporary detour.

This detour route has a signed speed limit of 15 miles per hour. In addition, some steep grades are present, so trucks are urged to use great care in this area.

Motorists are asked to “Drive Smart” in this and all other work zones and be aware of workers, traffic control devices and construction equipment when traveling in this and other areas where projects are ongoing.
