Construction continues on KY 7; no long-term closures planned
JACKSON, KY – Construction continues on a $34.8 million project to relocate KY 7 between Jeff and Viper in Perry County.
As construction continues, motorists should expect periodic delays for blasting and removal of debris. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers during these periods.
While there will continue to be periodic temporary delays, there are no plans for a long-term closure of KY 7 at this time.
Motorists are asked to “Drive Smart” in this and all other work zones and be aware of workers, traffic control devices and construction equipment when traveling in this area and others where projects are ongoing.
