KY 1571 in Estill County to be closed Tuesday, Sept. 25 for railroad crossing repairs

JACKSON, KY – (Sept. 19, 2007) – Personnel from CSX Transportation will be making repairs to the Millers Creek railroad crossing on KY 1571 in Estill County on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The project will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until approximately 1 p.m. During this time, the road will be closed to through traffic at milepoint 3.75 and motorists should plan their trips accordingly.

This closure will affect motorists traveling between Beattyville and the Irvine/Ravenna area.

No marked detour will be posted, but drivers can use KY 52 as an alternate route.
