Preliminary Work on KY 451 Bridge Replacement Will Result in Street Closures in Hazard Beginning March 5

JACKSON, KY. – (Feb. 21, 2007) – Beginning Monday, March 5, contractors will begin demolishing buildings and removing underground storage tanks to clear right of way for the pending replacement of the Home Lumber Bridge on KY 451 in downtown Hazard.


This work will result in the closure of Bridge Street for approximately one week. Also during this time, motorists can expect possible delays and lane closures on Main Street and High Street in the immediate area of the work zone.


Motorists should use caution in this area and be alert to the possibility of delays.
