Public invited to memorial service for the late Supreme Court Justice William E. McAnulty Jr. Sept. 11

FRANKFORT, Ky., Sept. 7, 2007 -- The family of the late Supreme Court Justice William E. McAnulty Jr. invites the citizens of the Commonwealth to join them, Gov. Ernie Fletcher, Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert and the justices of the Supreme Court of Kentucky to pay tribute to the life and service of Justice McAnulty, a great Kentuckian who passed away Aug. 23 following a courageous battle with cancer.

The memorial service will take place in the Capitol Rotunda at 700 Capitol Ave. in Frankfort on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m.

Those to perform at the service include the Kentucky State University choir and singers Kenny Bishop and Freda Holt.

Visitors will be able to sign a book of condolences in the Capitol Rotunda on Sept. 11 from 8 a.m. until the conclusion of the memorial service.
