Justice Mary C. Noble to be Invested as Member of the Supreme Court of Kentucky
Justice Mary C. Noble of the 5th Supreme Court District will be invested formally in ceremonies conducted in the Supreme Court Courtroom, at the Capitol building in Frankfort, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2006.
Justice Noble was born in Jackson, Kentucky in 1949. She received her B.S. and M.A. from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky. She was in general practice from 1981 until 1991 and a Domestic Relations Commissioner from 1989 until 1991. Justice Noble was elected to Fayette Circuit Court, Fifth Division in 1991 and again in 2000 and served from 1991 until November 2006. She served two terms as Chief Judge, 1998 – 2002. Justice Noble is one of the founders of Kentucky Drug Courts and served as a Drug Court Judge from 1996 until November 2006. She was elected to the Supreme Court in November 2006. Justice Noble is married to Larry Noble and they live in Lexington, Kentucky.
