The Kentucky Court of Appeals has unanimously elected Sara Combs to serve as chief judge upon the June 2 retirement of current Chief Judge Thomas Emberton. Judge Combs will be the first woman and the first judge representing the 7th Appellate District in Eastern Kentucky to take this role.
