FRANKFORT, Ky. — Today the Kentucky Arts Council introduces its website with a new look, improved navigation and refreshed content at www.artscouncil.ky.gov.

In conjunction with the launch, the arts council is offering prizes through its Facebook page to people who explore the website and have the first correct answer to various surprise questions related to the redesigned site.

The first step is to “like” the Kentucky Arts Council on Facebook. The game will run from Tuesday, Aug. 2, through Friday, Aug. 5, with questions posted at 8 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. each day. The first person to answer the question correctly will win a choice of art-related books published by the arts council. Contestants are only eligible to receive one prize for the duration of the game. Winners from each post will then have their names submitted for the drawing of a grand prize, a one-night stay at a Kentucky state resort park of their choice (some restrictions will apply).

“We are really excited about our new website, which was created completely in-house,” said Ed Lawrence, communications director for the Kentucky Arts Council. “We’re hoping this game will entice people to discover all we have to offer on the site.”

The arts council is also encouraging visitors to the website to provide feedback with a short three-question survey. This information will help the agency improve its communications and services to Kentucky constituents.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
