Architectural artists added to Kentucky Arts Council directory
FRANKFORT, Ky. — Four new artists have been added to the Kentucky Arts Council’s Architectural Artists Directory, an adjudicated roster of artists with an established work history of projects that include architectural elements and artwork, custom-made fixtures and uniquely crafted building installations.
The Architectural Artists Directory is for professional artists who create architectural art and custom-made fixtures for residential or commercial installations. It serves as a resource for businesses, homebuilders, architects, interior designers, landscape architects and private clients seeking artists to create unique features for home, commercial and public spaces.
The directory showcases the work of more than 30 Kentucky artists.
New artists selected for the directory are:
- Forest Boone, Louisville
- Prometheus Art, artists Amanda Matthews and Brad Connell, Lexington
- Don Ament, Lexington
“We are pleased to have artists with such high-caliber products become a part of our directory and look forward to helping them promote their work,” said Lori Meadows, executive director of the arts council.
Professional artists living and working in Kentucky may apply to be included in the directory. The next application deadline is Aug. 15, 2013. For more information about the Architectural Artists Directory, contact Charla Reed, program director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-564-3757, ext. 485.
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
