FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, along with other local, state and federal agencies, will present sessions at Congressman John Yarmuth’s Arts and Humanities Grants Workshops Aug. 24, 2011, at the Louisville Science Center, 727 W. Main St., Louisville, Ky.

The workshops are free and designed for educators and other individuals associated with public programs in the arts and humanities.

Session 1 - Funding Opportunities in the Arts and Humanities
8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Presentations by representatives from the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Institute for Museum and Library Science, Kentucky Arts Council and the Kentucky Humanities Council.

Session 2 - Arts and Humanities in Education
4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Presentations by representatives from the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Kentucky Arts Council, Kentucky Humanities Council, Kentucky Educational Television and the Fund for the Arts.
