Kentucky Arts Council selects artists to work in schools
The Kentucky Arts Council has renewed the eligibility for three artists and selected two new artists to be included in the Teaching Artists Directory (formerly the Arts Education Roster). There are currently 41 artists in the directory at http://bit.ly/KACtad.
The Teaching Artists Directory promotes professional artists who have the skills and competencies to conduct residencies in schools and work with teachers and students in designing and implementing arts programs.
Selected artist are:
Shuling Fister (new) Dance Lexington, Ky.
Carla Gover (new) Folk Arts Berea, Ky.
Darla Jackson Folk Arts and Literary Arts Cranks, Ky.
Judy Sizemore Folk Arts and Literary Arts McKee, Ky.
Melanie VanHouton Visual Arts Frankfort, Ky.
