FRANKFORT, KY — The Kentucky Arts Council and Gov. Steve Beshear will present the 2010 Governor’s Awards in the Arts at 10 a.m. EDT, Oct. 28, 2010, in the Capitol Rotunda, Frankfort. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a reception on the mezzanine level of the Capitol. The celebration is free and open to the public.

The Governor’s Awards in the Arts are presented annually in nine different categories. The Milner Award was the first established and remains the most prestigious. The 2010 Governor’s Award in the Arts recipients are:
