Kentucky Arts Council Presents Information Session in Maysville
The Kentucky Arts Council will present an overview of opportunities for arts funding and programs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday March 10, 2006 at the Mason County Extension Office, 800 U.S. Highway 68, Maysville, KY.
The first part of the session will be an opportunity for Maysville area residents to meet the staff of the Kentucky Arts Council and receive an overview of the programs, grants and services available to artists, schools, arts organizations and community organizations interested in offering arts programs.
Boxed lunches will be provided and then specialized sessions will be offered for artists (in any discipline including craft, visual, performing, literary and media artists), community and arts organizations and educators (or interested parents).
Organizations, artists and schools are also encouraged to bring any promotional materials they may want to share with the Arts Council and other members of the community.

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet that invests in programs that develop vibrant communities, provide lifelong education in the arts and support arts participation. Every $1 in grant funds awarded by the Kentucky Arts Council helps grantees secure $15 in earned income and matching funds from individuals, philanthropic sources and other levels of government. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
