The Kentucky Arts Council has awarded fee subsidy grants to twenty-four performing arts venues as diverse as festivals, museums and libraries to support the presentation of performing artists, ensembles and groups featured in the Kentucky Arts Council’s Performing Arts Directory. *

The directory includes selected musicians of every stripe, from Americana to bluegrass, chamber music and opera, orchestras and chorales, Celtic, country and rock.  Add ballet, contemporary dance, children’s theatre, classical theatre, storytellers and puppeteers to the mix and you have a full complement of artistic disciplines available for almost any performance venue, with the quality assurance of having been reviewed and selected by a panel of performing arts professionals based on artistic excellence, performance experience and marketing capacity.

The purpose of the Kentucky Arts on Tour Program is to make public performing arts events available to people across the Commonwealth and to increase public participation in performing arts opportunities as well as foster an appreciation for diverse cultural and arts experiences.  Fee subsidy requests ranged from $245 to $7000 and performances vary from solo musical performances to a full production of the ballet or orchestra.

Editors Note: The following is a listing of performing arts venues and the artist they will be presenting through the Performing Arts on Tour grant.

*Performing artists from similar adjudicated programs of state arts agencies in the Southern Arts Federation are also eligible to be booked by Kentucky presenters participating in the Performing Arts on Tour Grant Program.
