FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky On Stage, a performing arts showcase featuring some of Kentucky’s best talent, will be held Aug. 25, 2011, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., at the Ursuline Arts Center at Sacred Heart Schools, 3114 Lexington Road, Louisville, Ky.

Kentucky On Stage is for performing arts presenters, librarians, festival organizers, park directors, Main Street and Renaissance Program managers, civic organization leaders, wedding and event planners, college and university activity board members and anyone interested in booking Kentucky performing artists.

The showcase includes 15 performing artists or groups who have been selected to participate in the arts council’s Performing Arts Directory. Registration also includes a morning workshop “Reaching Your Audience: Promoting Performances with Social Media” presented by David Dombrosky, a consultant in the field of technology and arts management. He has worked with Americans for the Arts, the National Arts Marketing Project, Performing Arts Exchange and the Association of American Cultures.
