The Kentucky Center Offers Preview to Kentucky Crafted: The Market
FRANKFORT, Ky. ─Those who can’t wait to shop at this year’s Kentucky Crafted: The Market have a chance to preview some of the items available for sale in "A Sampling of Kentucky Crafted: Naturally," a free exhibit now on display in the main lobby of The Kentucky Center, 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville. Sponsored by the Kentucky Arts Council, this show features the work of 15 artists who will be selling their work at Kentucky Crafted: The Market along with 250 other exhibitors.
The Kentucky Center will host a reception for "A Sampling of the Kentucky Crafted: Naturally," on Friday, February 20 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. which is free and open to the public.
Kentucky Crafted: The Market, the award-winning retail and wholesale trade show featuring traditional and contemporary fine art and craft, along with books, musical recordings, films and Kentucky Proud® food products will be held at South Wing B of the Kentucky Exposition Center, Louisville, Ky., on February 21-22, 2009.
Special guest to this year's market will be nationally renowned garden designer, Jon Carloftis. Kentucky Crafted: The Market will feature garden vignettes designed by Carloftis, who will also make a presentation, "Designing a Kentucky Crafted Garden," sharing his ideas about creating beautiful garden spaces and incorporating many of the wonderful products that can be found at Kentucky Crafted: The Market in home gardens. ________________________________________________________________
