Kentucky Arts Council offers operational support grants to arts and cultural organizations
|
FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky nonprofit arts and cultural organizations that provide year-round arts programming may apply to the Kentucky Arts Council for Kentucky Arts Partnership grant funding by Jan. 15, 2011. Grants to qualified organizations will support operating costs for the period between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012.
Grant awards are based on the funds available to the Kentucky Arts Council, the number of applicants, applicants’ scores as determined by an independent review panel based on prescribed performance expectations, and the organization’s operating revenue.
Guidelines and applications for the Kentucky Arts Partnership grant can be found at http://artscouncil.ky.gov/guide/prog2/kap_gdl.pdf.
“We are very fortunate to be able to continue this support to organizations both large and small,” said Kentucky Arts Council Executive Director Lori Meadows. “With the support of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kentucky General Assembly, we have been able to provide funding to Kentucky’s arts organizations for more than 30 years. This support gives Kentuckians opportunities to experience the arts in all regions of the state.”
The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
