Governor's Derby Exhibition features work of Kentucky artists
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Visitors touring the Capitol will soon have an opportunity to view an exhibition of Kentucky-themed art and photography. The Governor's Derby Exhibition, coordinated by the Kentucky Arts Council on behalf of Gov. Steve Beshear and First Lady Jane Beshear, will be on display April 27 – May 10, 2010, in the Capitol Rotunda.
"This exhibition showcases the artistic talent in Kentucky and is the perfect complement to the Governor's Derby Celebration," said First Lady Jane Beshear.

The artwork has been created by Kentucky artists from across the state who responded to an open call to artists in early April. The exhibition can be viewed at the Capitol during public visiting hours, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and during the Governor's Derby Celebration Saturday, May 1. The Governor's Derby Celebration will be on the state Capitol grounds from 8 a.m. to noon and is open to the public.
