Kentucky Arts Council Brings Information Session to Lake Cumberland
FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Arts Council welcomes citizens interested in the arts in the Lake Cumberland region to join them for a discussion about the arts grants, programs and services available to local communities and artists through the council. This session will be from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. C.S.T., Monday, November 17, 2008, at the Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, Pumpkin Creek Meeting Room, 5465 State Park Road, Jamestown, Ky.
"We are interested in letting people know about the work of the arts council, as well as finding out how our agency might be of assistance to artists and communities in making more arts experiences available to Kentuckians throughout the state," says Lori Meadows, executive director of the Kentucky Arts Council.
"The Kentucky Arts Council – Arts Services and Programs for Kentucky," may be of particular value to artists, arts organizations, educators, community leaders, tourism entities, downtown development organizations, local parks directors, social service agencies, county extension agents and local government officials.

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet that creates opportunities for Kentuckians to value, participate in and benefit from the arts. Kentucky Arts Council funding is provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.
