Artists can apply for Kentucky Crafted Program
FRANKFORT, Ky. — The Kentucky Arts Council is accepting applications through Aug. 15 from craft and visual artists interested in participating in the Kentucky Crafted Program, the only state-supported marketing program for professional artists.
The Kentucky Crafted Program is an adjudicated marketing assistance program for the state's finest visual and craft artists. It provides assistance to Kentucky artists through marketing and promotional opportunities and arts business training.
"The Kentucky Crafted Program has been an outlet for many of the state's artists to enter the wholesale business world and expand their entrepreneurial skills," said Lori Meadows, arts council executive director. "Program participants are some of the finest artisans working in the state today."
Artists accepted into the Kentucky Crafted Program are eligible to:
- Use the Kentucky Crafted logo.
- Exhibit at Kentucky Crafted: The Market.
- Be included in the arts council's online directory for artists.
- Sell work at the Governor's Derby Celebration.
- Take advantage of cooperative advertising opportunities.
The deadline to submit an application to be considered for the program is Aug. 15. For more information, visit http://1.usa.gov/KAC_crafted or contact Ed Lawrence, arts marketing director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-564-3757, ext 473.
