Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy Announces New Appointments
Frankfort, Ky- Roger Thomas, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy (GOAP) announced two new appointments to GOAP: Michael Judge, Director of Operations and Jennifer Mobbs, Compliance Specialist.
“We look forward to the contributions of these two individuals who will provide both wisdom and knowledge of past experiences combined with their dedication to Kentucky agriculture,” said Roger Thomas. “This will ensure that the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy will continue to provide the best possible service for our agriculture communities across the Commonwealth.”
Previous to his appointment as GOAP Director of Operations, Michael Judge served as the Executive Director of the Office of Agriculture Marketing and Product Promotion at the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. His background includes production agriculture, agriculture economics and marketing. Michael was Assistant Professor at Eastern Kentucky University from 1981-2004 where he also served as the Director of University Farms. He currently resides in Richmond with his wife.
Jennifer Mobbs was promoted to GOAP Compliance Specialist. She will be working along side the Senior Compliance Coordinator in implementing the compliance efforts of the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund. Jennifer attended Indiana Southeast University where she studied Business Management. Her previous employment includes working as an Administrative Assistant for GOAP. She currently lives in Frankfort.
The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy provides a direct link between Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and one of Kentucky’s most important industries, agriculture. GOAP administers the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board (Phase I), the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation, and the Kentucky Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (KCADE). GOAP is committed to providing leadership to develop and implement agricultural development policies, and represents Kentucky’s interests as national policy is developed which results in a brighter future for the Commonwealth.
