Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy Announces New Appointments
Frankfort, Ky- Roger Thomas, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy (GOAP) announced two new appointments to GOAP: Diane Fleming, General Counsel and Debbie Hollis, Administrative Assistant.
“We are extremely pleased to have these two individuals as part of the GOAP staff and welcome their willingness to provide the best possible service for our agriculture communities across the Commonwealth,” said Roger Thomas. “Diane and Debbie will help ensure the increased compliance effort continues to be top priority at GOAP.”
Born and raised in Louisville, Diane received a BA in journalism from the University of Kentucky and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville. Previously she served as an Assistant Attorney General under Attorney Generals Conway, Stumbo and Chandler. She was the first General Counsel appointed to serve Kentucky’s Mine Safety Review Commission and also worked as a staff attorney in the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Cabinet. Diane lives in Louisville with her husband Alex and their four children.
Previously, Debbie worked as a loan clerk with American Founders Bank and is retired from Kentucky State University. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School and currently resides in Waddy, KY. Debbie along with her husband of thirty-nine years have one son and one grandson.
The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy provides a direct link between Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and one of Kentucky’s most important industries, agriculture. GOAP administers the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board (Phase I), the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation, and the Kentucky Center for Agricultural Development and Entrepreneurship (KCADE). GOAP is committed to providing leadership to develop and implement agricultural development policies, and represents Kentucky’s interests as national policy is developed which results in a brighter future for the Commonwealth.
