Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy to Showcase Projects at 2006 Kentucky State Fair

Frankfort, KY. (August 14, 2006)-The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy is presenting a Project Showcase at the 2006 Kentucky State Fair. All of the projects in the showcase have been directly involved with the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund. They have either received funds or have been an administrator of these important funds that have helped so many farmers in the state of Kentucky.

The Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy will also have a corner dedicated to the new Pilot Broadband Satellite Cost-Share Program that was released in June. There will be a computer set up with broadband Internet for farmers to check out their favorite agricultural websites.  They will also be able to view the satellite equipment that is used for this program, ask questions, and receive information on this pilot program that could be available through their county.
