The U.S. Equestrian Federation Four Star Championship for the USET Foundation Pinnacle Trophy and an FEI Qualifying Competition and U.S. Equestrian Federation Selection Trial for the 2008 Olympic Games
Competitors include many of the world’s best horses and riders including Olympic veterans Bruce Davidson, Phillip Dutton, Mary King, Karen O’Connor, Ian Stark, Karin Donckers, Wendy Schaeffer and Heath Ryan.
The equestrian sport of Eventing consists of three distinct elements: Dressage (Thu-Fri), Cross-Country (Sat), and Show Jumping (Sun). Originally, Eventing competitions were held around the world to test the fitness and training level of cavalry mounts. The winner is determined by the horse-and-rider combination with the fewest combined penalties from the three tests.
The Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Farnam, features exquisite shopping in the International Trade Fair and Sponsor Village with more than 160 booths, as well as a variety of other entertaining attractions. Ticket holders also receive general admission to the Kentucky Horse Park, America's only theme park dedicated to horses.
