LEXINGTON, KY – (April 25, 2005) Once again, NBC Sports will broadcast highlights of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park.
John Nicholson, Executive Director of the park observed, “We are so pleased that NBC has recognized the growing popularity of equestrian sports, and we’re honored that they have chosen the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park to feature in this special.”
Although the Rolex event takes place from April 28-May 1, the broadcast will be aired May 8, along with NBC’s coverage of the FEI World Cup Show Jumping Final from Las Vegas. The program will air from 4 to 6 pm (EST).
According to the United States Equestrian Foundation, headquartered at the park, each of these equine competitions is considered the foremost face-off in 2005 for their respective disciplines. Rolex and World Cup have reputations for drawing in the world’s most talented competitors, featuring Olympic medalists and national and international competitors of the highest caliber.
This will be the first broadcast of its kind for equestrian sports in the United States.

The Kentucky Horse Park is a working horse farm/theme park and equine competition facility dedicated to man’s relationship with the horse. The park is an agency of the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet that hosted 913,000 visitors and 80 special events and horse shows in 2003.
