LEXINGTON, KY (February 22, 2005) If Clark Griswold can organize a family vacation, so can you, and the Kentucky Horse Park campground can help.  Just bring a tent or a camper and let the family bonding begin!  Conveniently located in Central Kentucky just off of I-75, traveling to and from the campground is as easy as can be.

This summer, the park’s campground will be the site for one of the Midwest’s finest music festivals, the Festival of the Bluegrass, from June 9-12.  It is also the location for a number of dog shows, Yellow Rock Square Dancing and other great family activities throughout the summer.  In addition, campers have easy access to more than 70 horse shows which will take place at the world’s premier equestrian facility, the Kentucky Horse Park.

Set amidst the rolling hills of the Bluegrass, the Kentucky Horse Park’s campground is widely hailed as one of America's finest resort campgrounds, with 260 campsites (each complete with electrical and water hookups, paved pads, fire rings and picnic tables) and unlimited primitive camping.

A full service facility, the campground has many extras including: planned recreational activities, junior Olympic-sized pool, playground, grocery and gift shop, two bathhouses with modern conveniences, laundromats, lighted tennis and basketball courts.  There will also be a special Halloween Campout this year.
