KHEAA/KHESLC CEO elected to national position

Edward Cunningham, executive director and chief executive officer of Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) and Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation (KHESLC), was recently elected chair of the Board of Directors for the Education Finance Council (EFC), based in Washington D.C. EFC is a national association of nonprofit and state agency student finance organizations dedicated to making college more affordable. Members of the Board are recognized by their peers as leaders in the profession of national policy for higher education funding.

Cunningham is in his sixth year with KHEAA and KHESLC. He has also been actively involved with Education Alliance, the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP), and is a retired Command Re-enlistment Sergeant Major for the U.S. Army Reserve.
