Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority
Visit KHEAA at the State Fair
Two students will win $500 college savings accounts at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville August 18–28. The accounts are being given away by the Kentucky Education Savings Plan Trust (KESPT), the state’s official 529 college savings plan.
To register for a chance to win, students and parents must fill out an entry form at the booth of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) in the South Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center. Entrants must be Kentucky residents and must complete the process of getting a College Cost and Planning Report. Winners must be at least 18 years old. Parents must enter on behalf of students under 18.
The free College Cost and Planning Report provides estimates of a student’s out-of-pocket expenses for up to six colleges nationwide.
The College Info Road Show, a mobile classroom sponsored by KHEAA, will have free Internet access for Kentucky students and parents where students will be able to find out about their Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship (KEES) awards.
Free student financial aid information will also be available at the KHEAA booth.
KHEAA is the state agency that administers KEES, need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses.
