Reception for Exhibition -"Black & White" at Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea
A meet-the-artist reception will be held Saturday, May 15 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea for the Center’s exhibition, Black & White: Works by Kentucky Artisans. At 1:30 artists will talk briefly about their work. This reception is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
This exhibit explores the ways Kentucky artisans use the colors black and white to interpret ideas, form, pattern and imagery. It includes black and white works from a range of mediums, including photographs, sculpture, woodcuts, jewelry, pen and ink drawings, glass, charcoal drawings, wood engravings, pottery and more.

“Black and White: Works by Kentucky Artisans” will be on display through Aug. 21, 2010. The Kentucky Artisan Center at Berea is located at 975 Walnut Meadow Road just off I-75 at exit 77 (Berea). The center’s exhibits, shopping and travel information areas are open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the café is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. The center currently features works by more than 650 artisans from 100 counties across the Commonwealth.
