This morning at 6 A. M. nine teams of officers from the ATF, Bowling Green Police, Kentucky State Police, Western Kentucky University Police and Warren County Sheriffs Department set out to arrest 69 individuals.  These 69 individuals are charged with 150 various drug law violations of which 137 are felonies.

All of the aforementioned charges are a result of investigations conducted over a 12-month period by the Bowling Green – Warren County Drug Task Force.

This drug round up is an example of the type of cooperative partnership among all agencies encouraged by Lt. Governor/Justice Secretary Steve Pence.  The Drug Task Force is primarily funded through the Byrne Grant Program managed by the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet which Lt. Governor Pence heads.

The Drug Task Force is a partnership group of detectives from all local, state and federal agencies working together to combat drugs in our community. These detectives represent the ATF, Bowling Green Police, Kentucky State Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Western Kentucky University Police.
