Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia Officers to Participate in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Blitz

Frankfort, KY - Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement (KVE) Commissioner Greg Howard is announcing a major enforcement initiative in cooperation with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and West Virginia Public Safety Commission.
Specific details will be provided during a media briefing at the Marshall University Stadium Lot on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. CDT.  Marshall University is located off I-64 E toward WEST HUNTINGTON / CHESAPEAKE. OHIO.
The primary focus of this project is for drivers and companies to seek compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations to enhance the safety of all drivers on our highways and reduce deaths. Additional joint efforts between these states will take place throughout the year.

Representatives from all three agencies will be available for media interviews and video opportunities.
