Steve O’Daniel Brings 30 Years of Investigative Experience To Cabinet
Frankfort, KY – Lieutenant Governor Stephen B. Pence, who is also Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Secretary, announced today that Steve O’Daniel will serve as the Executive Director for the newly created Office of Investigations.
"The Office of Investigations requires leadership that will not falter to inequity," says Lieutenant Governor Pence. "Steve O’Daniel has a broad range of experiences as an investigator that will be a great asset to the Cabinet."
O’Daniel has spent 30 years in law enforcement, including 20 years as an investigator. He has been with the Public Corruption Unit of the Attorney General’s Office and the Kentucky State Police where, among other duties, he was in charge of organized crime and white-collar crime investigations. During the Collins Administration, O’Daniel was the Commander of the Governor’s executive security detail for the Kentucky State Police.
"It’s a great honor to be a part of the Fletcher-Pence team," said O’Daniel. "I am fully committed to this effort to find and rid our state government of all the waste, fraud and abuse we find."
O’Daniel started this week with the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. Additional staff will be hired in the coming weeks. |
