Justice & Public Safety Cabinet accepting applications for Law Enforcement Service Fee Grants
FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Justice and Public Safety Cabinet is now accepting applications for the annual Law Enforcement Service Fee (LSF) grant program. Applications must be submitted on-line through the Cabinet’s electronic Grants Management System. Local law enforcement agencies may apply for LSF grants to support driving under the influence (DUI) enforcement efforts, including overtime, mileage, and equipment. The grants are funded from the service fee imposed on offenders convicted of DUI throughout the Commonwealth. Submission deadline for LSF applications is March 15, 2012. Applications and related information may be obtained by following the links on the Grants Management Branch webpage, http://justice.ky.gov/departments/gmb.
Applications must be submitted via the on-line Kentucky Justice Grants Management System (GMS). Applicants are strongly encouraged to establish a user account and familiarize themselves with the system well in advance of the due date. Please note: validation of new user accounts will take 48-72 hours. On-line training videos and a user manual are available by following the links on the Grants Management Branch webpage, http://justice.ky.gov/departments/gmb. If a user account has previously been established, no further action is required to access the system.
