Ingram to speak at substance abuse prevention conference

FRANKFORT, KY -- Van Ingram, executive director of the Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, will join a panel of experts to discuss current trends in substance abuse prevention on the opening day of the Kentucky Prevention Network’s annual conference. 

The conference is being held Wednesday through Friday at the Embassy Suites in Lexington.  Ingram will join Kentucky experts Dr. Allen Brenzel, Robert Illback and Connie Smith on a panel discussion with Frances Harding, director of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention in Washington, D.C.  The panel kicks off at 1 p.m. in the Coldstream Ballroom. 

Kentucky Prevention Network is composed of professionals and volunteers with an interest in substance abuse prevention.  More than 150 participants have registered to attend.
