FFY 2012 State Homeland Security Program Grant Deadline is July 13
FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 4, 2012) – The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS) is accepting applications for FY 2012 State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) grants through July 13.
SHSP grants are used by cities, counties, area development districts and public agencies to purchase items such as alert systems, portable radios, mobile data computers, rescue equipment and medical devices for first responders to deal with emergencies.
Mandatory grant workshops are currently being held across the state. Applications from city, county or special districts that do not have at least one representative at one of the workshops will not be accepted. The locations, dates, and times of the workshops are posted at www.homelandsecurity.ky.gov.
SHSP applications must be postmarked by Friday, July 13. They will also be accepted on July 13 in the lobby of the KOHS office at 200 Mero St., (new Transportation Cabinet building) in Frankfort until 4:30 p.m. EDT.
