FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security is reminding all local and state agencies interested in applying for 2006 homeland security funds that applications are due back to the Frankfort office by close of business May 1, 2006. The application may be found by visiting 

“With just over two weeks remaining before the grant deadline, I want to encourage any agency or jurisdiction with questions about the application process to contact our office,” said (Ret) Maj. Alecia Webb-Edgington, director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. “We want to see as many successful applications as possible, but Kentucky’s state strategy for distributing funds in 2006 is tightly focused, so it is important that our local and state officials use every resource available to them.”  

Grant award notices will be issued no later than August 1, 2006.
