FRANKFORT, Ky. (Dec. 9, 2009)— Stop by the Kentucky Historical Society Stewart Home School 1792 Store located in the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in downtown Frankfort from now until Wednesday, Dec. 23 and receive 40 percent off all holiday merchandise. State employees will receive 20 percent off all other store merchandise, as well.

Looking for a gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list? Give them a little piece of history or something uniquely Kentucky from the 1792 Store.

Visit the Center this Saturday, Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and enjoy “Saturday with Santa” festivities in addition to store discounts.  The event, which is free and open to the public, is hosted by the Kentucky Historical Society and Downtown Frankfort Inc., and sponsored by Whitaker Bank. Children, families and Santa-enthusiasts are invited to join KHS for the Christmas soiree. Guests can snap pictures with the jolly old guy and enjoy family-friendly holiday stories, refreshments and activities.
