The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) and the Kentucky Genealogical Society invite Kentuckians interested in genealogy to participate in a free RootsTech Family History Fair on March 8.

Attendees can choose from 10 Family History Fair sessions, which were videotaped this month at the national RootsTech Conference held in Utah. Topics include online research, DNA testing, digitizing family history objects, digital organization and using YouTube for family history.

Doors open at 9 a.m. The event starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Participants must register to attend and can come for part of the day or all day.

To register, send an email to khsrefdesk@ky.gov or call 502-564-1792 ext. 4460. Lunch is available for $7 by pre-order no later than noon EST March 7. More information, including a schedule and all available syllabi, can be found at http://kentuckyancestors.org.

KHS is one of only 600 locations worldwide selected as a Family History Fair venue by RootsTech organizers.
