FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 14, 2004) – On Sunday, July 18, at 2 p.m. the Kentucky Historical Society will host a lecture program with Staff Archaeologist, David Pollack of the Kentucky Heritage Council. He and his colleagues will share their recent discoveries from the Old Frankfort Cemetery found during the ground excavation for the new Department of Transportation building located on Mero Street in historic downtown Frankfort. Their research has revealed what everyday life may have been like in the early 1800s. This program, sponsored by the Kentucky Historical Society, an agency of the Kentucky Commerce Cabinet, is for adults and free; refreshments will follow.
