Food For Thought Program to Focus on Governor’s Mansions
FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 1, 2010)— Steve Collins, son of former governor Martha Layne Collins, will discuss Kentucky Governor’s Mansions at noon on Wednesday, March 17 at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort.
Entitled “A Capitol Life,” the lively discussion will offer perspective on how governors and their families brought life to these historic homes. A tour of the Old Governor’s Mansion will immediately follow the program.
The luncheon, which is part of the KHS Highlighting History series, is $18 for KHS members and $23 for other patrons. Reservations for the program are required by Friday, March 12. Contact Julia Curry at 502-564-1792, ext. 4414 or Julia.Curry@ky.gov.
The KHS Highlighting History series includes History Speaks! and Food for Thought, and offers guests an opportunity to explore a wide variety of historical topics.
