Governor Fletcher Appoints Members to the Historic Properties Advisory Committee

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed three members to the Historic Properties Advisory Committee (HPAC).

Mary K. Wheeler, of Ashland, is a retired office manager who attended Ashland Community College. She is married to Charles Wheeler and replaces Jan W. Steinman, who resigned.

Kenneth Myron Clift, of Newport, is a retired firefighter and paramedic for the city of Fort Thomas. He attended Northern Kentucky University and is chair of the Newport Historic Preservation Commission and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is married to Sandy Clift. This is his second consecutive term on the board.

William S. Singer, of Georgetown, is a self-employed farmer and a former president of the Midland Railroad Club. He is married to Marilyn Singer. This is Singer’s second consecutive term on the board.

HPAC is made up of 14 gubernatorial appointees and provides continuing attention to the maintenance, furnishings and repairs of the Executive Mansion, the Old Governor’s Mansion and the State Capitol.
