Governor Fletcher Appoints Member to the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Ernie Fletcher has appointed Richard Knock, of Union, to the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority.
Knock, who previously owned thoroughbred race horses with Steve Cauthen, is chairman and CEO of several business interests in Kentucky and a member of the Kenton County Airport Board and the Boone County Planning and Zoning Commission. He is a former chair of the University of the Cumberlands Board of Directors and is married to JoAnn Knock.
The KHRA is an independent agency of state government charged with regulating the conduct of horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering on horse racing and related activities within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The KHRA is attached to the Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet for administrative purposes.
